Helen Gott
Managing Director

Helen is the Managing Director of worth.legal. After a successful career as a solicitor in private practice specialising in private client work, Helen joined Cardinal Wills, a well-established estate planning firm in May 2022 before overseeing the rebrand to worth.legal.

Helen has a strong track record in building and growing a loyal client base. She has been ranked in notable legal directories during her time in private practice as well as being part of award-winning teams. She is delighted to have taken over such an established business and to work with the worth.legal team and our network of advisors. Helen is committed to providing a clear and empathetic service to clients, she prides herself on her down to earth approach offering practical solutions for clients. Helen is a qualified Trust and Estate Practitioner (STEP) a globally recognised qualification in the professional estate planning field www.step.org

Helen is also a Dementia Champion and sits on the Leeds Dementia Action Alliance committee helping to raise awareness of those living with dementia in and around Leeds and how we as businesses can improve the quality of their lives by being aware of how dementia and related illnesses affect those living with it and their families.

Clare King
Director

Clare joins worth.legal as a Director, bringing with her more than 20 years’ experience in Private Client law. Clare is a Chartered Legal Executive and provides legal advice about wills, powers of attorney and trusts as well as having a particular expertise in Court of Protection law and Personal Injury Trusts.

After spending a large part of her career at an award-winning law firm in Leeds, most recently as Head of the well-respected Court of Protection and Personal Injury Trust Team. Clare will strengthen our existing expertise in wills and estate planning as well as to establish a new Court of Protection and Personal Injury Trust practice. We believe that these areas complement our existing expertise and will allow us to bring our clear, down to earth, accurate advice to more valued worth.legal clients.

Clare is a qualified Trust and Estate Practitioner (STEP) and a full accredited member of Solicitors for the Elderly. Clare is a Dementia Friends Ambassador and sits on the Dementia Friendly Leeds steering group.

Carrie Eckhardt
Legal Specialist

Carrie joined worth.legal after working in law firms for 8 years with 7 of those years specialising in private client work advising on Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Probate.

After completing the Graduate Diploma in Law and the Legal Practice Course, Carrie then qualified as a Chartered Legal Executive (CILEX) and brings her years of experience to worth.legal. Carrie is enthusiastic about providing an excellent client service and receives consistently high client feedback.
